About The Position

Unither Pharmaceuticals is having an onsite hiring event for Packaging Equipment Operators and Manufacturing Equipment Operators. This is a full-time role with various shifts available, including B-Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm), C-Shift (11:00pm - 7:30am), 12-hour weekday day and night shifts, and 12-hour weekend day and night shifts. The company is a French pharmaceutical industrial group focused on making affordable healthcare products and is a world leader in sterile single dose. The Rochester, NY site specializes in various pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

Requirements

HS Diploma/GED
0 to 2 years of experience in a production or machinery setting.
Ability to learn the operation and function of multiple pieces of equipment.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, as needed.
Demonstrate basic math skills in multiplication, division, percentage calculation, significant figures, conversion from metric to standard measures (or inverse), and weight to volume measures (or inverse). This would include basic algebra and geometry.
Must be available for flexible schedule and/or overtime.
Days and hours of work subject to change due to production schedules.

Nice To Haves

AAS or BS preferred.
Knowledge of computer applications and current software is desirable.
Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude is desired.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and demonstrated leadership capabilities are preferred.
General understanding of material handling machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate and function multiple pieces of equipment.
Perform duties requiring considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.
Operate power equipment; routinely drive/operate lifts.
Work safely with materials and equipment, including chemicals, tools, and other equipment.
Wear safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required.
Wear appropriate garments and coverings per cGMP (uniforms, hair/beard nets, etc.).
Lift up to 50 pounds to lift and maneuver bulk containers of ingredients.
Frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, stoop, and reach overhead.
Stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
