About The Position
This role is responsible for verifying the quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment. The Packager will ensure correct box types, liners, and packing methods are used, assemble boxes, and affix labels. They will also examine products for conformance to customer specifications and palletize boxes according to customer requirements. This is a 1st shift position with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, and overtime may be required based on production needs. The pay rate is $15.00/hour.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
Responsibilities
- Verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment.
- Ensures correct box type, box liners and packing methods are used.
- Assembles boxes and affixes labels on packaging.
- Examines packs, cups, or bottles and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications.
- Palletize boxes onto correct pallets to follow customer specifications.
- Other duties may be assigned.
