About The Position

This role is responsible for verifying the quantity, quality, and labeling of products that are ready for shipment. The Packager will ensure the correct box type, box liners, and packing methods are used, assemble boxes, and affix labels. They will also examine packs, cups, or bottles for conformance to customer specifications and palletize boxes according to customer requirements.

Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.
• Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
• Lift 25-50 pounds up to 7 feet high 150-300 times during the shift.
• Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift.
• Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Talk and hear.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct box type, box liners and packing methods are used.

• Palletize boxes onto correct pallets to follow customer specifications.
