About The Position

The role of the Packager II is responsible for identifying and communicating food safety and/or product integrity issues, following all standard operating procedures, and recommending revisions for improvements. This position also involves following procedures dictated by the Floor Traveler for each product, instructing subordinate staff and/or temporary employees on job-specific tasks, and reporting any unsafe conditions or acts to management. The Packager II must work in the most effective, efficient, and safe manners at all times, carrying out good housekeeping and cleaning practices, and performing tasks such as putting bags in trays, cases on pallets, and bulk dumping on lines. Other responsibilities may be assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to a height of 48 inches on a routine basis
Ability to withstand dust and noise
Successful completion of a background check

Responsibilities

Identify and communicate food safety and/or product integrity issues to appropriate personnel
Follow all standard operating procedures and recommend revisions for improvements
Follow procedures dictated by the Floor Traveler for each product
Instruct subordinate staff and/or temporary employees on job specific tasks
Report any unsafe conditions or acts to Productions Supervisor and/or other management personnel
Work in the most effective, efficient, and safe manners at all times
Carry out good housekeeping and cleaning practices
Put bags in Trays, cases on pallets, bulk dumping on lines
Other responsibilities as assigned by management
