About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Part-Time Package Handler to join their team. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, and sorting freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. The company was founded in 1978 and focuses on standard, next-day, ground delivery, with corporate headquarters in St. Cloud, MN. Spee Dee Delivery employs over 1,800 people and has expanded throughout the Midwest.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age
Excellent verbal communication skills
Efficient time management skills
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
Perform other duties as assigned
