About The Position
Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned company established in 1978, specializing in standard, next-day, ground delivery. With corporate headquarters in St. Cloud, MN, the company has expanded throughout the Midwest and employs over 1,800 people. The Part-Time Package Handler will be responsible for accurately and timely loading, unloading, and sorting of freight to ensure prompt delivery.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Efficient time management skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
- At least 16 years of age
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
- Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
- Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
- Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
- Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
- Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
