About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned and operated company that was started in 1978. Our core business is in standard, next-day, ground delivery. The corporate headquarters and main sort facility is located in St. Cloud, MN. We currently employ over 1,800 employees company-wide and over the years we have expanded throughout the Midwest. The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Efficient time management skills
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
• Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
