About The Position

CIMCO Refrigeration is seeking a Mechanical Engineer (EIT) / (Package Engineer) to join our Edmonton team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing refrigeration packages that meet customer requirements, comply with industry standards, and support efficient fabrication and servicing. Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Thorough knowledge of refrigeration design principles and standards
Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and structural requirements
Familiarity with Local Building Codes, CSA/UL, ASHRAE, ASME, IIAR, and other design specifications
Proficiency with SolidWorks, REVIT, AutoCAD, and SAP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design/standards considered an asset
Solid grasp of site construction practices an asset

Responsibilities

Prepare 3D SolidWorks models and fabrication drawings based on dimensional constraints, job site conditions, and customer requirements
Select appropriate components, including pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and control valves
Design pipe routing in accordance with refrigeration standards, ensuring ease of manufacturing and servicing while coordinating with construction stakeholders
Prepare and review Bills of Material (BOM) and issue material requisitions using SAP software
