About The Position

Morgan Distributing, Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned business founded in 1954, specializing in the distribution of motor fluids, including motor oils, industrial lubricants, metalworking, and specialty fluids. They serve various markets such as automotive, trucking, agriculture, and construction, and are committed to providing industry-leading technology and sustainable maintenance programs. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of package products to customers, both locally and out of town. The role also involves selecting, handling, and loading/unloading products of various sizes and weights, and maintaining cleanliness of facilities and vehicles. A Class B CDL is required to drive their packaging trucks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Maintain Valid CDL Driver’s License Class B minimum
  • Endorsements: tanker/hazmat
  • Maintain current/valid DOT Physical
  • Excellent Time Management
  • Excellent Organizational Skills
  • Ability to Communicate well
  • Ability to work in all types of weather and driving conditions
  • Must be a commutable distance from Valparaiso, IN

Responsibilities

  • Perform Pre-Trip DOT truck inspections.
  • Report any defects found on the truck/trailer during inspection to the immediate Supervisor.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and obey all rules of the road.
  • Maintain all documents required by the company or DOT.
  • Utilize electronic devices/delivery documents.
  • Safely load package products onto trucks/trailers.
  • Deliver to local and out-of-town customers.
  • Move various sizes/weights of package products by hand or by mechanical means (handcarts, pallet jacks, fork trucks).
  • Transfer products from package containers to customer tanks/drums.
  • Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in products corresponding to BOLs.
  • Read customer work orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
  • Mark materials with identifying information on row cards.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed on work orders and BOLs.
  • Operate fork trucks, electric pallet jacks, and shrink wrap machines safely.
