About The Position

Log and distribute packages received at Resident Services Office to residents and provide administrative support.

Requirements

  • Great with people — warm, friendly and helpful in person and on the phone
  • Be extremely organized and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Be able to solve problems effectively
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be able to follow instructions in both
  • Ability to work weekend and holiday hours as needed
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3-6 months customer service experience.
  • Experience with entering data into a management system.
  • Internet Explorer and MS Office programs.
  • Frequently move/traverse, ascend/descend stairs in/around apartment homes and community.
  • Constantly positions self to bend, stoop, reach, lift.
  • Occasionally lift/move/carry up to 25lbs with/without assistance.
  • Frequently lift/move/carry 5lbs.
  • Constantly communicate, converse and exchange information with coworkers, vendors, residents and visitors.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Constantly operates computer, 10-key and other office productivity machinery.
  • Constantly works in low to moderate noise levels
  • Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Reading; Writing; Ability to communicate clearly; Ability to deal with complex issues; and Attention to detail.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mail room or customer service environment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and logging packages received from UPS, Fedex, etc.
  • Delivering packages to residents on a daily basis and following up on any packages that have not been picked up within a specified window of time
  • Assist Resident Life Managers with answering phones and greeting residents as needed
  • Answers questions related to the availability of packages.
  • Moves packages into storage area and maintains the area organized for ease of search for packages.
  • Provide a wide range of administrative and support services to the office staff and the property manager as needed
