PACK OUT - CENTRAL KITCHEN (FULL TIME)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for a full-time PACK OUT - CENTRAL KITCHEN position. This role involves stacking and piling goods into correct containers and preparing them for shipment using various pieces of equipment. Union Square Events and CxRA, operating from a shared kitchen and commissary, focus on culinary excellence, operational expertise, and genuine hospitality to create exceptional experiences across New York City and beyond. Requirements
- Previous refrigerator/fulfillment experience is required.
- The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
- The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
- The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and prepares containers for packing, ensuring containers are undamaged.
- Stacks and piles finished goods into containers; prepares goods for shipment following specific instructions.
- Verifies items pulled from packages are correct.
- Maintains database of packages.
- Completes documents to record measurement, weight and product count; tracks inventory.
- Removes completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
