Pack Out - Central Kitchen (Full Time)
About The Position
We are hiring immediately for full time PACK OUT - CENTRAL KITCHEN positions. This role involves stacking and piling goods into correct containers and preparing them for shipment using various pieces of equipment. Founded in 2005 as Hudson Yards Catering, Union Square Events is a culinary and operations leader in the hospitality industry, partnering with a diverse portfolio of best-in-class clients. We produce one-of-a-kind catered events and unparalleled dining experiences in a variety of cultural, corporate, entertainment, and private venues throughout New York City and beyond.
Requirements
- Previous product fulfillment experience in a cold (refrigerator) environment.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and prepares containers for packing, ensuring containers are undamaged.
- Stacks and piles finished goods into containers; prepares goods for shipment following specific instructions.
- Verifies items pulled from packages are correct.
- Maintains database of packages.
- Completes documents to record measurement, weight and product count; tracks inventory.
- Removes completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
