About The Position

Ampacity is hiring a Pack Kitting Associate – Electrical for our Des Moines Distribution Center. This role focuses on electrical wire processing and order fulfillment. Responsibilities include cutting wire to customer-specified lengths using specialized industrial equipment, picking and packing electrical materials, assembling kits for electrical projects, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting our electrical supply chain and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries to customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of warehouse experience; electrical industry experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
Forklift experience (certification preferred).
Familiarity with warehouse management systems or logistics software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, and label electrical wire using specialized industrial equipment.
Pick, pack, and fulfill electrical material orders accurately.
Assemble kits of electrical components according to specifications.
Operate forklifts and assist with inventory management.
Follow all safety protocols, including OSHA compliance, and maintain a clean work area.
Handle electrical materials and equipment with care and attention to detail.
Assist with same-day deliveries when possible.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting boxes, moving inventory, and cleaning.
