American Conservation Experience (ACE), a non-profit conservation corps with branches in Sacramento, CA, Palm Springs/Coachella Valley, CA, and Ridgecrest, CA, is seeking members to join their team of young adults serving on meaningful conservation projects throughout the Pacific West. The program aims to introduce and prepare members for careers in resource management within the conservation corps industry or with public agencies like the California State Parks, US Forest Service, National Park Service, National Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Bureau of Land Management, as well as other local and non-profit land steward organizations. ACE Pacific West crews serve in various locations including Yosemite National Park, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park, Death Valley National Park, on the Pacific Crest Trail, in coastal State Parks, on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, and other inspiring locations. This opportunity is designed for individuals looking to gain valuable career skills while being part of a community of like-minded young professionals from across the country. Members typically serve for 13 or 26 weeks on projects focused on ecological restoration, habitat improvement, and trail maintenance and construction, while completing a term of AmeriCorps service. Members usually have 3-6 days off between projects to enjoy California's natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
