The One Water Lahaina program is an integrated water resources framework serving as the backbone of Maui County’s recovery strategy following recent disasters. This integrated model aligns wastewater, potable water, stormwater, reuse, and watershed and cultural resources under a single, coordinated approach focused on resilience, long-term service reliability, and recovery outcomes. This strategy is embedded in the mission of the Office of Recovery (OOR), which oversees a rapidly expanding recovery portfolio exceeding $7 billion. One Water Lahaina functions as both a technical framework and an operational organizing principle for recovery delivery, supported by Brown and Caldwell through program management, governance, and staff augmentation. The County is ensuring that rebuilding efforts not only restore damaged systems but also deliver integrated, resilient infrastructure that supports Maui’s long-term recovery and climate resilience goals.
