This position is responsible for greeting and checking in patients, visitors, and vendors with a courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor. Key duties include managing patient check-ins, collecting payments, maintaining a daily collection log, and balancing the cash drawer. The role involves efficiently answering and directing phone calls, scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments across multiple locations, and monitoring visit limits and expiration dates. Additionally, the PAC Associate is responsible for sending new evaluation information to the pre-certification department, creating claims for over-the-counter items or no-show fees, and assisting adjusters or outside entities with inquiries. Accurate data entry of patient demographics and insurance information is crucial, with potential additional responsibilities at certain locations including eligibility and authorization verifications. The role also requires maintaining the cleanliness of the front desk and waiting areas, screening visitors, adhering to delivery procedures, preparing school and work excuses, accepting and distributing medical records, and checking out patients while scheduling follow-up appointments. Confidentiality is paramount, and flexibility with hours is necessary. The position also includes daily mail and fax distribution and adherence to security procedures at the close of each day.
