About The Position

Provides administrative support for the didactic phase of the Physician Assistant Program. This role ensures smooth program functioning, assists faculty and students, and helps maintain compliance with accreditation standards with a specific focus on supporting the administrative needs of PA program. Reports to the Counseling Program Director and works with students, faculty, staff, and vendors. Agnes Scott College has applied for Accreditation-Provisional from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA). Agnes Scott College's Mary Lou Cornwall Hawkes '65 and James B. Hawkes Physician Assistant Program anticipates matriculating its first class in October, 2026, pending achieving Accreditation-Provisional status at the July 2026 ARC-PA meeting. Accreditation-Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appears to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding accreditation-provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of its first class (cohort) of students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent administrative experience with other employers; experience in higher education or counseling program administration preferred.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with ARC-PA standards, including the ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Ability to take initiative, function independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse students, faculty, and staff at the College and outside the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to use databases, spreadsheets, and forms
  • Knowledge of software platforms used for content design/communication

Nice To Haves

  • experience in higher education or counseling program administration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assists PA Operations Manager with maintaining compliance records for faculty and preceptors in eMedley® database, which includes but may not be limited to: Creating a profile/entering contact and employment information. CV/Resume. State Licensure/Board Certification. Documentation and evaluations collected by the clinical team during site visits.
  • Assists the faculty with contacting guest lecturers
  • Assists PA Operations manager with event planning.
  • Assists the faculty with exam proctoring.
  • Assists the faculty with scheduling and running of Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs)
  • Provides administrative support for the PA Program, ie. Day to day communications.
