PA/NP - Pediatric Transport, Helen DeVos Children's Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI
About The Position
Our Pediatric Critical Care Transport Team is comprised of dedicated Advanced Practice Providers, Registered Nurses, and Respiratory Therapists. Together we will play a crucial role in providing specialized pre-hospital (interfacility) care to ensure the safe ground transfer of pediatric patients across Michigan to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Ensures operations follow professional standards, applicable laws, accreditation, compliance/regulatory requirements, and follows organizational goals. Practices in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code. This role will maintain a collaborative practice agreement with the critical care physician team.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner: Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
- 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience
- Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role as a Nurse Practitioner
- LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - State of Michigan
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
- CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Physician Assistant: Required Master's Degree Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
- LIC-Physician Assistant - State of Michigan
- CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS)
- CRT-Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Responsibilities
- Providing specialized pre-hospital (interfacility) care to ensure the safe ground transfer of pediatric patients across Michigan to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
- Ensuring operations follow professional standards, applicable laws, accreditation, compliance/regulatory requirements, and follows organizational goals.
- Practicing in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code.
