About The Position

SLB New Energy & Industrial (NEI) is a division of SLB, focusing on ventures in carbon capture and sequestration, geothermal power, energy storage, sustainable battery-grade lithium, hydrogen, and Data center infrastructure solutions. The Data Center infrastructure solutions business provides innovative and cost-effective solutions for building faster, smarter, and more resilient data centers, scaling AI and cloud computing capacity while minimizing capital risk and deployment delays. SLB is seeking a motivated P&SC Logistics Specialist to support this business. The Logistics Specialist is responsible for daily logistics activities in a manufacturing or distribution center, ensuring compliance with logistics procedures and agreed terms. This role reports to the Logistics Leader for their assigned location.

Requirements

  • Associates degree preferred, or equivalent minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supply chain specialist role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to making and communicating a culture of positive change throughout the supply chain organization.
  • Exhibit problem solving skills.
  • Continuous process improvement mindset, including experience with Lean / Six Sigma.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP).
  • Clear and effective communicator, able to convey complex concepts in both individual and group settings.
  • Fluent in English, with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and own the logistics plan for purchased items in accordance with their assigned freight channels.
  • Participate in planning reviews and alignment of operations with planning and production teams.
  • Subscribe to and comply with logistics procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improving lead time, cost reduction and on time delivery.
  • Maintain open purchase order tracking (POs) from ready for collection through customs clearance, material delivery and freight forwarder payment.
  • Manage shipment discrepancies including lost or damaged in-transit orders, including filing insurance claims.
  • Ensure that the center adheres to SLB approved freight forwarder agreements and contracts.
  • Support planning and warehouse functions in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
  • Complete actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Comply with SLB and local procedures applicable to the job function.
  • All other duties as directed by their manager.
