About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid Kansas teaching license or eligibility to obtain Kansas licensure with the appropriate endorsement.
  • Knowledge of effective instructional practices, classroom management, and child development.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to providing an equitable and inclusive learning environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous elementary teaching experience.
  • Experience using student assessment data to guide instruction.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology.
  • Training or experience in MTSS, differentiated instruction, and social-emotional learning.
  • English Learner (EL/ESL) endorsement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with district curriculum and Kansas College and Career Ready Standards.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and developmental needs of students.
  • Use research-based instructional strategies and educational technology to maximize student learning.
  • Monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments and use data to guide instruction.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, attendance, and required documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, interventionists, special education staff, instructional coaches, and administrators.
  • Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, and school improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or Superintendent.
