About The Position

This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead marketing and business development initiatives within the Power and Energy sector. You will guide internal and external marketing efforts, drive proposal development, and support strategic client pursuits across multiple markets. The position requires balancing creativity, organization, and strategic insight to produce high-quality marketing content, strengthen client relationships, and enhance pursuit success. You will collaborate closely with leadership, business sectors, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative materials, optimize processes, and mentor colleagues. This is a hands-on, results-driven position that directly contributes to the growth and visibility of key business initiatives. Success in this role combines strategic vision with meticulous execution and strong stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Writing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7–10+ years of experience in AEC proposal development, marketing, or business development
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and ability to design new content/graphics
  • Strong proofreading, editing, and content creation skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to balance priorities, manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and work flexible hours as needed
  • Strong research, documentation, and process improvement skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with database programs such as Deltek VantagePoint or similar is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to leadership in business development, marketing, proposal, and strategic planning efforts
  • Lead or contribute to complex proposal responses, including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and EOIs
  • Identify high-quality client opportunities and track leads to support pursuit strategies
  • Develop marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, service briefs, project profiles, and content for website and social media
  • Support go/no-go decisions on pursuits and client engagements
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships, including subconsultants, contractors, and local officials, to align with business objectives
  • Lead or support special projects, strategic planning, and operational initiatives within the P&E Marketing Team
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to foster professional growth and enhance team capabilities
  • Maintain accurate data and documentation for marketing and proposal activities
