About The Position

SMG is seeking a local Owner's Rep in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania area to provide environmental services. The Environmental Advisor coordinates the implementation of environmental compliance programs, permit requirements, corporate environmental policies, standards, procedures, and strategic environmental goals within an assigned region, plant, and project scope.

Requirements

• Seven years of environmental experience.
• Previous work on construction projects performing environmental services.
• A bachelor's or associate degree in Environmental Studies, Geology, or a similar field.
• Thorough knowledge of environmental studies and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to plan, organize, and problem-solve.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and initiative.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental compliance oversight for construction activities.
• Support compliance with NPDES, RCRA, Stormwater, Air Permits, and SPCC requirements.
• Develop and manage environmental plans, permits, documentation, and records.
• Conduct site inspections and compliance assessments to identify environmental risks.
• Partner with contractors to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Deliver environmental training, guidance, and coaching to project teams and contractors.
• Support regulatory audits, agency interactions, and project-specific environmental programs.
