About The Position

NGL Transportation is seeking experienced Owner Operators based in the Savannah, Georgia area. This position primarily handles regional freight originating from Savannah, with most loads operating within a 4–5 hour one-way radius. Drivers are generally home daily, although some loads may require an overnight stay and return the following day. Drivers residing in Savannah, Pooler, Garden City, Dublin, Macon, and Columbus, GA are encouraged to apply. Drivers are responsible for ensuring that tractors, chassis, and containers are parked only in safe and authorized locations. The driver assumes full responsibility for the security and protection of equipment while in their possession.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 1 year of recent CDL Class A driving experience
Minimum 6 months of intermodal/container hauling experience using chassis
Ability to safely operate in port and terminal environments
Drivers with no preventable accidents within the past 3 years are strongly encouraged to apply
Must pass all required drug and alcohol screenings
Must successfully pass a background check
Any current or prior SAP participation must be disclosed during the application process
No unresolved drug or alcohol violations
Must remain compliant with FMCSA regulations

Responsibilities

Handle regional freight originating from Savannah.
Operate within a 4–5 hour one-way radius.
Be home daily for most loads.
Accommodate loads that may require an overnight stay and return the following day (up to 1.5 days).
Perform occasional Saturday deliveries.
Perform port-related moves for additional earning opportunities (if possessing a TWIC card).
Ensure tractors, chassis, and containers are parked only in safe and authorized locations.
Assume full responsibility for the security and protection of equipment while in their possession.
