Class 1 - Owner Operator - BC - AB
About The Position
Aquatrans Distributors is seeking experienced Owner Operators for linehaul runs between British Columbia and Alberta (BC-AB), including some cross-border runs into Washington and Oregon. The role involves transporting goods and materials for the Reefer division over long distances. Compensation is trip-rated and hourly, depending on the destination. The schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, with variable shift times. Weekend work and layovers may be required, necessitating flexibility with all hours of work. Drivers are trusted with sensitive information and must complete a background check upon offer acceptance.
Requirements
- Class 1 driver's license.
- 2 years of tractor-trailer experience.
- Verbal and written communication in English.
- Must have a reliable cellphone to operate Samsara.
- Safety conscious and safe operator.
- Equipment must be 2016 or newer.
- Trucks must be heavy spec and capable of hauling tridem axle weights.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs.
- Operate truck and trailer in a safety-minded manner.
- Report vehicle deficiencies.
- Conduct highway work.
- Transport various goods across BC-AB and cross-border.
