About The Position

Manitoulin Transport is seeking independent owner-operators to join their team in support of the Carrier’s transportation needs to serve its customers. The owner-operator will be granted the option to operate under the Carrier’s National Safety Code and Fleet Insurance Program. Requirements

Class 1 license
1 year of experience
Good understanding of the Hours of Service regulations
Mechanically Fit Bunk Truck that is ELD Compatible
Truck specifications that aligns with Carrier's Equipment
Own a Red or White tandem bunk truck, 2018 or newer
Must be able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract, and 2 references confirming the delivery of service excellence
Must have current ICBC insurance

Nice To Haves

Deck experience is an asset
Forklift ticket an asset
TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift experience are an asset

Responsibilities

Provide linehaul owner-operator services based out of Kamloops, B.C.
Operate a current model truck and qualified operator
Meet all regulatory requirements including Pre and post-trip of equipment
May include the delivery of periodic dock services to load and unload freight as required
Operate within the standards and requirements as outlined in the services contract
