About The Position

Pace is seeking owner/operator delivery drivers with their own SUV or minivan in the Hammond, Louisiana market. As a contracted courier delivery driver in Pace’s Preferred Carrier Network, you will deliver small packages to customers in Hammond and surrounding areas. Drivers may choose on-call/standby or dedicated scheduling options and may be assigned routes up to five days per week, Monday through Friday. The opportunity is intended for independent contractors, Master ICs, and freight agents with small fleets.

Drivers operate their own working vehicle, meet insurance and screening requirements, and use Pace’s delivery app to document and track deliveries. Pace describes its carrier network as offering year-round, consistent routes, dedicated-route predictability, business support services, a fuel program, direct deposit for settlements when DDA is elected, an onboarding and management portal, a mobile app, and 24/7 support.

Requirements

• Own a working SUV or minivan.
• Meet auto liability insurance requirements of 50k/100k/50k.
• Meet motor vehicle record (MVR), background check, and drug screening requirements.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Pick up packages and deliver them to designated stops.
• Use the delivery app to track and document all deliveries.
• Maintain required insurance.
• Meet customer delivery requirements and specifications.
• Represent Pace professionally and courteously.
• Maintain a presentable appearance and provide excellent customer service.
