About The Position

Animal Emergency Clinic of the High Country is hiring an Overnight Veterinary Technician! This role is for a full-time Overnight Veterinary Assistant. We are looking for someone dependable, motivated, compassionate, and eager to learn who will be an essential part of our ER family. Requirements

Experience preferred, but willingness to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Motivation and compassion for emergency veterinary care
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Interest in building skills and learning in emergency medicine
Veterinary technology students, pre-veterinary students, and individuals seeking hands-on clinical experience are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

Assist doctors and technicians with patient care
Perform triage and intake of emergency patients
Draw blood and place IV catheters
Monitor hospitalized patients
Administer medications and treatments
Take radiographs and patient vitals
Enter charges and help maintain patient flow
Provide compassionate client communication during stressful situations
