About The Position

The Vail Marriott Mountain Resort and Spa is hiring an On-Call, Year Round Valet Attendant. This role involves greeting guests, assisting with luggage and storage of skis and bikes, parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and efficiently, managing valet charges and billing, performing nightly key audits and garage inspections, and assisting overnight hotel staff with guest inquiries. The position requires working overnight hours, typically from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age.
Have a valid US driver’s license.
Must have a satisfactory MVR check.
Must have guest service experience.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to bend, crouch, crawl, climb and kneel.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings when needed.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

Nice To Haves

Ability to drive a manual as well as an automatic.
Ability to communicate in Spanish or in other languages.

Responsibilities

Greets guests and assists with any guest inquiries by providing exceptional customer service.
Assists with loading and unloading luggage and storage of skis and bikes.
Parks and retrieves guest vehicles in a timely and safe manner.
Responsible for valet charge postings and billing.
Performing nightly key audits and garage inspections.
Assisting overnight hotel staff with any guest inquiries or requests.
Completes vehicle inspections of all guest vehicles upon arrival.
Completes valet tag and additional tagging information of all guest vehicles.
Assists doormen in times of need (i.e. assisting with bike / ski storage process).
Responsible for guest key management.
Retrieving guest items from guest vehicles upon request.
Responsible for daily checklists (i.e. knowledge of current functions and elite recognition).
