About The Position

The Night Crew Supervisor supports overnight grocery operations by leading and working alongside the night crew to ensure freight is stocked accurately, efficiently, and safely. This role helps organize nightly workloads, maintain store conditions, support inventory and merchandising standards, and ensure the sales floor is ready for customers by opening.   • Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Previous grocery, stocking, retail, or leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support night crew associates during assigned shifts.
  • Help organize and prioritize the nightly workload to ensure freight is completed efficiently.
  • Receive, break down, sort, and stock merchandise in designated areas.
  • Ensure products are stocked accurately and rotated according to established procedures.
  • Maintain proper shelf conditions, product presentation, and merchandising standards.
  • Identify and address out-of-stocks, misplaced merchandise, and inventory concerns.
  • Assist with backroom organization and ensure merchandise is stored safely and properly.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the shift.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and training to new and existing associates.
  • Monitor associate productivity and provide feedback and support when needed.
  • Ensure associates follow safe lifting, stocking, and equipment-operating practices.
  • Communicate staffing, inventory, equipment, and operational concerns to store leadership.
  • Help ensure the sales floor and backroom are prepared for the next day's business.
  • Provide customer service when customers are present during operating hours.
  • Follow company policies, food safety requirements, security procedures, and workplace safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties and assist other departments as business needs require.
  • Lead by example and actively work alongside the night crew.
  • Provide clear direction and communicate priorities throughout the shift.
  • Maintain productivity while ensuring work is completed safely and accurately.
  • Coach associates respectfully and recognize strong performance.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Respond effectively to changing workloads and operational priorities.
  • Communicate unfinished work or significant overnight issues to store leadership.
  • Support consistent execution of stocking, merchandising, and store readiness standards.
