About The Position

Slate is a commercial cleaning company specializing in tech-enabled, quality-controlled janitorial services for business clients nationwide, with a focus on premium boutique fitness studios.

We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Studio Cleaner & Lead to join a 2-person team responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across two fitness studio locations in Fairfax and McLean, VA. This role is essential to ensuring a welcoming, spotless environment for clients and staff, and includes both hands-on cleaning and leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• Ability to use a smartphone app to clock in and out at each location
• Ability to take and submit before and after photos using a smartphone
• Ability to follow a detailed bilingual cleaning checklist
• Authorized to work in the United States
• At least 18 years old
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel between cleaning locations
• Ability to cover both Mosaic (Fairfax, VA) and Tysons Corner (McLean, VA) stops in the same night
• Availability for overnight shifts starting at 11:00 PM, four nights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday)

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing commercial or janitorial cleaning
• Experience in a lead or supervisory role, such as coordinating coverage, tracking attendance, or managing supplies
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Part-time overnight schedule: 4 nights/week (Mon/Wed/Thu/Sat), approximately 2 hours per shift
• Work independently and as part of a small, supportive team

Responsibilities

• Deep cleaning fitness studio spaces, including equipment, floors, mirrors, restrooms, lobby, and retail areas
• Taking before and after photos at each location to document cleaning quality
• Following a detailed bilingual cleaning checklist to ensure thoroughness
• Clocking in and out at each stop using a mobile app
• Managing inventory of cleaning supplies, placing restocking orders, tracking cleaner attendance, and coordinating same-night replacement coverage as needed
