As our next Street Sweeper, you'll be at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. In this role, you’ll take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year DOT driving experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred
  • CDL-B & DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Safety & Compliance Focus: Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Execution & Reliability: Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Communication & Issue Reporting: Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure all safety features are operational before beginning route.
  • Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure.
  • Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear.
  • Complete assigned jobs within the allotted timeframe while maintaining expected quality and attention to detail.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols.
  • Exercise additional caution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions.
  • Handle materials safely and securely; Apply correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
  • Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soon as safely possible.
  • Immediately escalate opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company on job sites or in public areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.
  • Accurately complete required logs, manifests, and forms.
  • Respond appropriately to changes and challenges; identify and solve issues timely.
  • The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.
