About The Position

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing sales floor merchandise. The Overnight Stocker will stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise, and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers. The role may also involve periodically taking physical counts of stock. Key responsibilities include answering customer questions, providing excellent customer service, maintaining stock levels, receiving and unpacking merchandise, cleaning display areas, comparing invoices to received items, and accurately recording work hours. The position requires discussing stock-related issues with management and performing assigned tasks.

Requirements

Required to have access to a phone at all times.
Able to perform basic math calculations.
Able to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 34 to 20 degrees for minutes at a time.
Must be able to read, write, speak, hear and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

Receive, store, and issue sales floor merchandise.
Stock shelves, coolers, displays, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
Maintain stocked shelves by keeping them full and fronted at all times.
Arrange merchandise displays to attract customers.
Receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise.
Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received to ensure shipments are correct.
Properly clean and maintain display cases, shelves, equipment and aisles.
Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
Observe scheduled shift hours as assigned by store manager and/or assistant manager.
Give all customers friendly, courteous and prompt service.
Properly record all shift hours worked and verify and sign time sheet.
Discuss problems concerning the stock with the store manager and/or assistant manager.
Perform specific tasks as assigned by the store manager and or assistant manager.
Periodically take physical count of stock.
