About The Position

An Overnight Security Officer at Lanier Islands Resort is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and order of the property during late-night and early-morning hours. This role ensures the protection of guests, staff, and resort assets, while also providing a secure environment for daytime operations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and random foot and vehicle patrols of guest floors, stairwells, parking areas, pool decks, exterior grounds, and utility rooms to detect unauthorized activity, safety hazards, or property damage.
  • Access control panels in real time to identify suspicious behavior, trespassers, or system anomalies.
  • Respond promptly to alarms (intrusion, fire, panic, duress) and investigate activations, securing the area and coordinating with emergency services as needed.
  • Assist guests in locked-out situations, verify identities, and provide access per property protocols.
  • Maintain accurate daily shift logs, incident reports, and security logs, recording observations, responses, and follow-up actions.
  • Enforce resort policies, ensure all doors/windows are locked, and secure exits after end-of-shift operations.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, administer first aid/CPR if trained, and assist in evacuations or other safety procedures.
  • Communicate with daytime security, management, and local authorities regarding incidents or safety concerns.
