About The Position

Securitas is hiring multiple Security Officers to keep clients safe at a defense contractor client site in Hudson, NH. This role is available for both Full-Time and Part-Time positions. The starting pay is $21.00/hr. The available shifts are Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, totaling 16 hours of overnight work. No prior security experience is required, and growth opportunities are available. Strong customer service skills are essential, as Security Officers work closely with clients and their staff. The ideal candidate will be professional, motivated, and eager to learn. A Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding people, property, and assets by monitoring for suspicious activity, enforcing rules, providing a visible security presence, and responding to incidents. This role is crucial in deterring criminal activity, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining order.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Reliable means of communication and transportation.
Legal right to work in the United States.
Ability to effectively speak, read and write English.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Strong Customer Service Skills Required!
Intermediate computer skills required.
Excellent observational and de-escalation skills; able to remain calm under pressure.
Strong communicator; capable of working closely with both global and local security teams.

Responsibilities

Monitor security cameras and patrol assigned premises to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or safety hazards.
Enforce access control policies, such as checking identification, issuing visitor passes, and restricting access to authorized personnel.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or security incidents, including medical emergencies, fire hazards, or criminal activity. Report or escalate incidents to law enforcement as needed.
Document and report incidents, suspicious activity, breaches of security, or safety concerns in clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
Conduct foot or vehicle patrols to ensure all areas, including entrances, parking lots, and perimeters, are secure. Check for unlocked or tampered doors, windows, or gates.
Greet and assist visitors or employees, providing directions and answering inquiries while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.
Inspect the premises for safety hazards, fire risks, or any conditions that could compromise the safety of individuals or property.
Handle minor disputes or disturbances, using conflict resolution skills to maintain a calm and safe environment.
Work closely with other security staff, law enforcement, or emergency responders to coordinate security efforts and respond to incidents.
