Overnight Recovery Specialist - Part Time
About The Position
The Hart House is a long-term residential recovery home that provides a structured, 24-hour rehabilitative environment for pregnant and/or parenting women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. The program helps residents build skills to maintain sobriety and develop the education, skills, and guidance needed to be effective, nurturing parents. Services include individual, family, and group therapy, as well as parenting education. The Recovery Specialist supports the program by maintaining a safe, structured environment and serving as a positive presence for people struggling with addiction. This part-time position is 24 hours per week, working overnight from 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Benefits start on day one. Beth Israel Lahey Health requires staff to be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Influenza vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with the substance use population is preferred.
- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license in good standing is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and structure of the program milieu by monitoring client activities.
- Observe and supervise clients and the unit, including conducting client well-being checks every 30 minutes.
- Conduct telephone admission screenings and perform other admissions duties.
- Search client belongings upon admission and discharge, or as otherwise directed by a supervisor.
- Complete required checklists, shift documentation, and records promptly and in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
