About The Position

Public Area Attendants play an important role in creating a welcoming, polished, and memorable experience. As a Public Area Attendant, you will help maintain the beauty and cleanliness of our public spaces, deliver warm, attentive service to guests, and support a strong team culture. Requirements

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to approximately 200 pounds.
  • Stand and move throughout the hotel for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and handle cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Utilize basic reading, writing, and math skills to complete assignments and checklists.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and service assigned public areas according to hotel quality standards and procedures, including: Lobby and common areas, Public restrooms, Elevator landings and hallways, Public phone and vending areas, Employee breakrooms and restrooms, as needed.
  • Strip, wax, and maintain floors as needed.
  • Clean and polish furniture, mirrors, railings, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a polished appearance throughout the property.
  • Monitor cleanliness and presentation standards in all assigned areas.
  • Assist with periodic deep cleaning projects and special assignments.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and special cleaning needs.
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping leadership and other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment through daily collaboration and communication.
  • Support hotel operations by assisting in other areas when needed.
  • Report maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, or repair needs to leadership promptly.
  • Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies and amenities while minimizing waste.
  • Follow all lost-and-found procedures accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment at all times.
  • Deliver passionate and engaging guest service.
  • Greet everyone warmly with a smile.
  • Use eye contact, active listening, and guests’ names.
  • Establish and anticipate guest needs.
  • Solve and own requests or concerns.
