It means giving back to our community and creating a great place to work. Our overnight Team Members ensure the Co-op will WOW our customers the minute we open! They prep much of the ingredients that go into the great food we cook, bake and sell, make the store and Lexi's Kitchen clean and vibrant. They work across all departments, with a primary focus in Lexi's Kitchen. You’ll know you’re doing a great job when production goals and store conditioning standards met and exceeded. Requirements

  • Ability to use computer keyboard, monitor, mouse, telephone, and various office equipment continuously
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the work day
  • Ability to stand for long lengths of time, walk, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach and climb stairs or ladders throughout the work day
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with customers and co-workers
  • Sufficient finger and hand dexterity to grasp and hold items of different sizes
  • Vision ability – close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Familiarity with natural foods, vegan and vegetarian cuisine as well as organic vs commercial growing practices
  • Available to work weekends, holidays, mornings and nights
  • Projects an outgoing, friendly personality
  • Culinary degree or certification or equivalent experience
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Demonstrated objectivity, neutrality and calmness under pressure
  • Ability to follow established systems, procedures and policies with great attention to detail
  • Consistent follow-through on commitments and deadlines
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions

Responsibilities

  • Ensure department is full, fresh and delicious to maximize sales and manage shrink goals
  • Order, receive, display and sell all products in accordance with quality and merchandising standards
  • Participate in achieving margin and sales goals while maintaining a competitive image
  • Identify and recommend suppliers as directed by department manager/category management
  • Lead, organize and execute periodic department inventories
  • Participate in planning and execution of sales change
  • Prioritize daily work lists to ensure maximum productivity and uphold department standards
  • Provide and model exemplary service to customers and co-workers using established customer service standards
  • Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals
  • Perform basic math functions to collect payment make change
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer
  • Provide product information and educational materials to customers, answer questions
  • Model our Culture Values, policies and procedures, promote team building
  • Treat all co-workers with consistency and fairness
  • Ensure that communications are clear, direct, and respectful
  • Continuously research, develop and make improvements in efficiency, accuracy, service, quality and safety

  • Cut, weigh, wrap, price and package product according to specifications
  • Ensure food safety practices and product rotation to attain good shelf life and safe product for customers
  • Maintain safe, clean and organized work areas
  • Ensure all product is accurately signed according to current standards at all times
  • Ensure proper in-store receiving and returns guidelines
  • Maintain effective working relations with suppliers
  • Plan and maintain clean, attractive, fully stocked and fronted cases/endcaps
  • Execute category management plans for new products and ensure in-stock availability for customers
  • Execute assigned merchandising plans. Plan and participate in resets as needed.
  • Attend and participate in scheduled team meetings
  • Note and communicate equipment and tool malfunctions
  • Adhere and model all safety rules. Must use all safety devices/tools to ensure safe operations.
  • Complete documents and checklists as assigned by department manager
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all times
  • Execute approved safety and sanitation programs in the department, including equipment cleaning schedule
  • Perform all maintenance and other tasks as assigned
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by MOD and or Department Manager
  • Follow food recipes as written and make recommendations for improvement for existing recipes
  • Safely perform all activities related to food production using established procedures and safety
  • Maintain safe, clean, organized workspace, storage areas, equipment and tools
  • Ensure prepared foods meet recipe standards of quality, consistency, look and taste and demonstrate these standards throughout the department
  • Pack-out, label and stock product to standard
  • Prevent, monitor, remove and communicate shrink to shift leaders using established shrink procedures
  • Ensure accurate and up to date production, shrink, and temperature records as directed.
  • Ensure all food stations are clean, stocked, full fresh and delicious at all times
  • Participate in daily faceoff of retail shelves
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by MOD, Kitchen Supervisor and or Department Manager

  • 10% SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL for every hour worked during shifts that include 12am-3am
