Overnight Porter (Non-CDL) - Full-Time
About The Position
This is a full-time position for an Overnight Porter (Non-CDL) responsible for supporting general labor services including litter and cleaning. The role involves operating a pick-up truck on a scheduled route to pick up trash alongside highways, performing assigned labor duties, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of trucks, shop, and yard, power washing equipment and sites, and performing basic mechanic tasks like greasing trucks. The position requires a valid driver's license, the ability to work outdoors, follow directions, read maps, and maintain a drug-free status. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally, moderate lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, grasping, standing for a full shift, walking, climbing stairs, and bending.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent work experience closely related to the field of work.
- Experience working outdoors
- Ability to follow directions and read maps
- Must maintain valid driver's license/good driving record
- Must pass and maintain drug-free status: employment and random drug tests
- Ability to operate a pick-up truck safely
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. occasionally
- Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required.
- Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending, as required
Responsibilities
- Operate a pick-up truck to drive to different stops on a scheduled route.
- Pick up trash alongside highway(s).
- Complete assigned job(s) in the time allotted.
- Perform labor duties as required and assigned by team lead.
- Maintain the cleanliness of trucks and support equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop and yard.
- Power Washing assigned equipment and/or sites, as needed.
- Perform basic mechanic tasks, such as greasing trucks etc.
