This position is responsible for fixing minor plumbing problems such as unclogging drains, assembling pipe sections, tubing, and fittings. The role involves filling pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air to detect and locate leaks, reviewing blueprints, building codes, and specifications, and studying building plans and inspecting structures to plan installations. The plumber will also measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to the required angle, and install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures. Additionally, the role includes performing miscellaneous minor repairs, preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, and adhering to all company and safety policies and procedures. This includes reporting safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training and certifications, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and developing positive working relationships. The role requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 75 pounds without assistance, and assist with moving objects weighing over 100 pounds. It also involves grasping, turning, and manipulating objects, reaching overhead and below the knees, moving up and down a ladder, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The position may also involve other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
