Job Summary: We’re looking for a dependable Overnight Operations Specialist (Driver) to support fleet operations across New York City. In this role, you’ll drive a company van throughout NYC during overnight hours, repositioning e-scooters/e-bikes, swapping batteries, and ensuring vehicles are safe, charged, and ready for riders by morning. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working independently at night, and confident navigating city streets.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • At least 2 years of driving experience
  • Comfortable driving a cargo van in NYC (tight streets, traffic, night conditions)
  • Ability to lift up to 80–90 lbs
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts
  • Strong time management and ability to work independently
  • Smartphone proficiency (app-based navigation and task management)
  • Basic English communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving larger vehicles (cargo vans, box trucks, U-Hauls)
  • Familiarity with NYC streets, boroughs, and traffic patterns
  • Background in delivery, logistics, warehouse, or rideshare work
  • Mechanically inclined (basic troubleshooting/maintenance)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company vehicle using app-based routing across NYC
  • Load, unload, and transport scooters and e-bikes (50–90 lbs)
  • Rebalance fleet from low-demand to high-demand areas
  • Swap batteries and ensure all devices are properly charged
  • Perform basic diagnostics and flag damaged or malfunctioning vehicles
  • Clean, disinfect, and prepare vehicles for daily rider use
  • Stage and organize vehicles in warehouse locations
  • Conduct routine checks on company vehicles
  • Collaborate with team members via mobile apps and in-person communication
  • Assist with testing and quality assurance for new product features
