About The Position

At Wood Violet Recovery (WVR), our overnight nurses are essential to safely supporting individuals through detox, stabilization, and early recovery. You’ll be part of a collaborative, supportive team where communication is clear, leadership is accessible, and everyone works together to provide safe, compassionate care. Behavioral health nursing is hands-on, fast-paced, and highly meaningful work. You’ll have a central nurse station as your home base, with clients coming to you throughout the shift, allowing for both structure and variety in your day. Not experienced in behavioral health? That’s completely okay. We provide training, support, and onboarding to make sure you feel confident and successful in the role. Most nurses find the work rewarding once they see the flow of the unit and team support in action.

Requirements

  • Active Wisconsin LPN or RN license (required)
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Compassion, professionalism, and a team mindset
  • Comfort working in a structured, fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Complete nursing intake assessments and support detox treatment plans
  • Monitor client health status through regular nurse visits
  • Administer medications and document accurately
  • Process labs and communicate results to providers and the care team
  • Respond to medical concerns with clinical judgment and compassion
  • Support clients through detox and stabilization protocols
  • Coordinate hospital transfers and nurse-to-nurse communication
  • Collaborate closely with RNs, LPNs, providers, and clinical staff
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and regulatory documentation standards
  • Track and manage medical supplies
