About The Position

RREMC is seeking an experienced and motivated Overnight Kitchen Manager to lead our Denny's restaurant during overnight hours. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, team management, and ensuring a positive guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant kitchens, previous leadership experience, and a passion for developing teams. Requirements

  • 3+ years of restaurant kitchen experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food safety practices
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A team-first attitude with a passion for developing others
  • Availability to work overnight, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Denny's menu with speed, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Prepare food according to recipes and Brand Standards.
  • Manage ticket times and food quality during overnight service.
  • Complete prep work and maintain product levels throughout the shift.
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, labeling, dating, and temperature compliance.
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty during overnight hours.
  • Lead both Back-of-House and Front-of-House hourly team members.
  • Support servers and other front-of-house staff to ensure excellent guest service.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain communication between the kitchen and dining room to ensure smooth operations.
  • Complete shift documentation and communicate important updates to restaurant management.
  • Coach and develop cooks and other hourly team members.
  • Train new employees on food preparation, safety, and Brand Standards.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Lead by example through hands-on participation in daily operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health department regulations.
  • Monitor inventory, rotate product using FIFO, and assist with deliveries.
  • Complete opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Help maintain a safe, secure, and guest-ready restaurant throughout the overnight shift.
