Working overnight in a calm and focused environment, you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation that define the Rimrock Banff experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen cleaning, stewarding, janitorial, or hospitality environment is considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset.
- WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Working in hot, humid, and occasionally cold environments.
- Safely lifting and moving supplies, equipment, and waste materials.
- Working around commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
- Frequently lifting and carrying over 20lbs
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, food preparation spaces, equipment, and workstations according to established health and safety standards.
- Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Deep clean kitchen floors, walls, shelving, drains, and storage areas.
- Clean and maintain ovens, grills, hoods, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen equipment as scheduled.
- Empty waste and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste management procedures are followed.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory shortages to leadership.
- Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with WHMIS regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times.
- Identify maintenance concerns and promptly report equipment issues or repairs required.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support seamless hotel operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
