Overnight In-Room Dining Server/Coordinator (Part-Time)
About The Position
Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks an Overnight In-Room Dining Server /Coordinator to join their talented team. This role is responsible for taking guest in-room dining orders and executing the delivery of orders according to Four Seasons Standards. The position involves delivering food orders, greeting guests, describing menu items, responding to guest concerns, and managing guest checks. Additionally, the role includes setting up lobby coffee service, inputting breakfast pre-orders, and completing final prep work for the morning shift. The ideal candidate will work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Requirements
- Previous experience working Overnight shifts required
- At least one year of food service highly preferred
- Excellent English verbal and written skills
- The ability to communicate in a warm and friendly manner over the telephone
- The ability to keep an organized work area and prioritize guest requests in a detail-oriented manner
- The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- ServSafe certified
- Valid work authorization for the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
- Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
- Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
- Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
- Properly and accurately close guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settle voided checks or complimentary meals.
- Set up the lobby coffee service and ensure specialty coffee machine is in working order.
- Input all breakfast pre orders into Micros and complete the dry setup of them.
- Ensure the AM team is set up for success by completing AM shift mise en place.
- Complete any final prep work.
- Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
