About The Position

The Overnight House Attendant is responsible for performing routine walkthroughs of public areas to ensure spaces remain clean, organized, and reflective of The Rittenhouse's luxury standards. This role involves providing light public-area maintenance and upkeep, identifying and reporting maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns, and assisting with overnight guest requests. The attendant will also provide shoe-shine service upon guest request and maintain communication with various hotel departments. The position requires providing warm, polished, discreet, and professional service, anticipating guest needs, maintaining guest privacy, and demonstrating a strong sense of ownership for the hotel's appearance and operation. A professional appearance and demeanor, sound judgment, and the ability to escalate concerns appropriately are essential.

Requirements

Previous experience in luxury hospitality, hotel operations, fitness, spa, housekeeping, or guest services preferred.
Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently with limited overnight supervision.
Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working overnight hours is a must.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining luxury service standards.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and move between different areas of the hotel as operational needs change.
Comfortable interacting with guests in a professional and service-oriented manner.
Ability to follow hotel safety, security, cleanliness, and operational procedures.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
Ability to regularly move throughout guest floors, public areas, Fitness Center, pool area, Spa, and other designated areas of the property.
Ability to bend, reach, lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment associated with the position.

Responsibilities

Performing routine walkthroughs of public areas to ensure spaces remain clean, organized, and reflective of The Rittenhouse's luxury standards.
Providing light public-area maintenance and upkeep as needed.
Identifying and reporting maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns throughout the property.
Assisting with overnight guest requests as needed.
Providing shoe-shine service upon guest request and ensuring shoes are returned according to hotel service standards.
Maintaining appropriate communication with the Front Office, Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, Spa, and other overnight associates.
Assisting other hotel departments with reasonable overnight operational needs as directed by management.
Provide warm, polished, discreet, and professional service consistent with the standards of The Rittenhouse Hotel & Spa and HHM Hotels.
Anticipate guest needs whenever possible and respond promptly to requests.
Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership for the appearance and operation of the hotel.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor throughout the shift.
Use sound judgment and appropriately escalate guest, safety, security, or operational concerns.
Ability to perform light cleaning, stocking, and operational tasks throughout the shift.
