About The Position

Join DoubleTree by Hilton San Diego Mission Valley as an Overnight Guest Service Agent and be part of a team committed to delivering warm, personalized service and memorable guest experiences around the clock. As an Overnight Guest Service Agent, you’ll play an important role in supporting our guests during the overnight hours while ensuring a smooth and welcoming front office operation. You’ll assist with arrivals and departures, respond to guest requests, address questions or concerns, and help ensure the hotel remains safe, organized, and guest-ready throughout the night. The ideal candidate for this role will possess: Genuine passion for hospitality and providing welcoming, professional guest service. Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills. Previous hotel, front office, guest services, or hospitality experience preferred. Working knowledge of front office operations, including check-in, check-out, reservations, and guest requests. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently, remain calm under pressure, and make sound decisions during overnight operations. Open availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays, with the ability to remain alert and service-focused throughout the shift. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Balance transactions: Audit, post, and reconcile the day's financial activity across outlets
  • Verify payment accuracy: Ensure all credit card transactions align with daily reports
  • Investigate discrepancies: Identify and resolve any anomalies found between financial reports and takings
  • Assist hotel management: Provide guidance and training to Night Managers on accurate financial processes and system use
  • Support emergency response: Assist the Night Manager during emergency situations
