About The Position

The Overnight Front Office Receptionist/Security Officer perform daily audit and overnight responsibilities according to the daily audit/overnight Residences at The Little Nell front desk checklist and complete tasks in a timely manner as well as protects the welfare of hotel guests and employees, as well as company assets. This is a dual position for Overnight Front Office Receptionist and Security Officer which works under limited supervision and is highly autonomous. This position reports to the Front Office Manager and is scheduled for 32 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year of customer/ guest experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic industry terminology.
  • Familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures, assisting in emergency and security procedures as directed by management.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills to personalize the guest experience.
  • Ability to act professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal English.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings, contributing positively to group dynamics.
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in the technical aspect of the job.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures for the Front Desk department.
  • Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Overnight Front Desk Receptionist, Concierge and PBX Operator during this shift.
  • Assist with guest requests and any guest services.
  • Prepare next day arrivals to include keys, itineraries and registration cards.
  • Post nightly rates.
  • Post movie charges.
  • Post overnight parking charges.
  • Check wake up call sheet from PBX. Verify all wake up calls have been set on the Wakeup call clock. Continue to record wake up calls throughout evening.
  • Make wake up calls that are for the night shift.
  • Prepare the next day daily report.
  • Post daily arrivals on the informational board.
  • Be completely familiar with all emergency procedures; act responsibly and in accordance with policies and procedures in the event of an emergency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
