About The Position

The Overnight Front Desk Agent at Soho House assists with checking members and hotel guests into the property and rooms, handling various inquiries, risks, and other matters that arise. This role is responsible for receiving payments and balancing cash at the end of a shift. The agent must be knowledgeable about the property layout, special offers, restaurant/F&B options, and other amenities like the gym, spa, and shared workspace. A successful candidate is hospitable, proactive, a capable multi-tasker, level-headed, and professional in demanding, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of similar role or customer service/facing role.
  • Ability to multi-task, answer high-volume phone lines, and respond to inquiries professionally (face to face), timely, and to the best of your abilities.
  • Quick learner or experience with OpenTable, Salesforce, Google Sheets, and/or Opera.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to bring conflict resolution to any anticipated or current matter.
  • Detail-oriented, articulate, and ability to multi-task in a high-volume and demanding work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (as needed).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for shift breakdown and financial/accounting related inquiries (i.e. sending folios, fielding disputes, billing, receipts, refund requests), walkout retrievals, and keeping all lost credit cards in safe.
  • Primary point of initial contact for members, guests, and staff, ensuring all visitors are welcomed and provided with top-notch service.
  • Perform all concierge duties including booking cars, tickets to shows, restaurant reservations, and spa reservations.
  • Answer incoming emails and inquiries via various digital portals, and print/scan documents for members and guests.
  • Communicate daily with all departments to stay updated on hours of operation, reservation restrictions, and workflow changes.
  • Discuss Soho House amenities, room types, rates, and availability, and suggest preferences to increase revenue and elevate guest experience.
  • Delegate support for members and guests to valet and luggage storage to the bell attendant and/or butler.
  • Participate in Daily Shift briefings and maintain general phone etiquette.
