About The Position

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Overnight Forklift Driver to join their World-Class Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the club during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift, transporting merchandise, assisting with truck loading and unloading, inspecting incoming goods, preparing pallets, performing maintenance, and upholding company policies while delivering excellent service to members. This position requires full open/overnight availability from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates a forklift in a safe and efficient manner, including inspecting forklifts prior to use and following established safety standards.
• Loads and unloads merchandise and materials to and from delivery trucks, accurately receiving all delivered merchandise and materials.
• Lifts, reserves, and drops pallets of merchandise, and prepares pallets for safe reserving by wrapping, strapping, stacking, labeling, and correcting broken pallets.
• Transports merchandise, material, and pallets safely throughout the club, utilizing a pallet jack as needed.
• Stocks, rotates, and stores general merchandise and food merchandise, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked and handling damaged/spoiled items per company policy.
• Ensures the club is neat, clean, and organized, performing general maintenance duties such as removing trash and cardboard.
• Participates in daily club openings and closings, and returns merchandise to the sales floor.
• Greets all Members, provides prompt and courteous service and assistance, and helps Members locate merchandise.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned and works in other departments as needed.
