About The Position

Acme Manufacturing has an opportunity available for an Overnight Electroplating Lead. This position starts at $26 per hour during training, with advancement to $28-$30 upon successful completion of training and transition to night-shift, with guaranteed overtime each week. This position will train on day shift with the intention of transitioning to nightshift, (48 hours per week) Monday – Thursday, 7pm – 7am (paid overtime each week, followed by a 3-day weekend). This position will work on-site at our facility near I-70 and Monaco.   Base pay: $26 per hour during training, $28-$30 per hour after training and successful transition to night shift (Estimated $64,000 to $75,000 annually with overtime).   Shift: Overnight, 7:00pm – 7:00am, Monday – Thursday.   Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k), and paid holidays and vacation.   Company provided training: We invest in coachable people, if you have production or manufacturing experience and are interested in a long-term career with stability and benefits we are happy to provide training.   Relocation: Acme Manufacturing will cover approved expenses pertaining to relocation for out-of-area candidates.   Job Duties and Responsibilities: Our zinc electroplating facility plates a wide variety of threaded rod utilizing an overhead crane. The lead for this shift will report to the electroplating manager and will be responsible for overnight production, which is expected to plate 25,000 lbs. of threaded rod per night. This position oversees 2–4 direct reports, which may occasionally include temporary workers during peak periods. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Ensuring all safety standards are adhered to. Oversight of overnight production. Documenting production and quality standards information. Inspecting machines regularly for signs of malfunctions. Loading and unloading metal products (lifting 50 – on a regular basis).    Who we are seeking in an applicant: The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically capable, and experienced in industrial manufacturing environments that involve chemical processes or regulated materials. This role requires the ability to lift 50–75 lbs. on a regular basis, stand and walk for extended periods, and safely handle materials throughout the production process. Candidates should have at least two years of production or manufacturing experience, along with a strong understanding of chemical safety, HAZCOM standards, and working around industrial equipment. Experience in surface treatment processes such as plating, coating, or similar operations is a plus, but not required. Additional requirements include: 2 or more years of experience in an overnight, production or manufacturing position. Ability and proven track record of leading small teams. Familiarity with chemical safety and laboratory testing. Physically fit, with the ability to stand for up to 12 hours and lift 50-70lbs repeatedly. Good mechanical aptitude.
